*Personal Accident, Medical Expenses, Evacuation and Repatriation Benefits for persons aged 75 years or above will be 25% of the amount stated above. For persons aged under 2 years only 10% of the Personal Accident, Medical Expenses, Evacuation and Repatriation benefits. For persons aged 2-17 years inclusive the Personal Accident benefits will be 25% of the amount stated above. The amounts above will apply to all other benefits

Personal Accident

Whilst on a Journey, if the Insured sustains Bodily Injury which results in Death and/or Permanent Disablement within 365 days after the date of the Accident, Chubb will pay the percentage of Sum Insured for the relevant Loss.

Medical Expenses

Whilst on a Journey that is a Return Journey, if the Insured necessarily incurs Medical Expenses as a direct result of Bodily Injury, or Sickness or Dental Expenses as result of Bodily Injury, Chubb will indemnify the Insured in respect to such expenses up to the relevant Benefit amount specified.

Chubb Assistance - Emergency Medical Evacuation

Whilst on a Journey that is a Return Journey, if the Insured suffers a Bodily Injury or Sickness and the necessary medical treatment is not available, either at the nearest Hospital where the Insured was transported to or in the immediate vicinity thereof, Chubb may evacuate the Insured to another location for the necessary medical treatment.

Chubb Assistance - Repatriation Of Mortal Remains

Whilst on a Journey that is a Return Journey, if the Insured dies as a result of a Critical Medical Condition, Chubb Assistance, or its authorized representative shall make the necessary arrangements for the return of the Insured's mortal remains.

Daily Hospital In-Patient Income

Whilst on an International Journey that is a Return Journey, if the Insured is necessarily Confined for more than 48 hours in a Hospital outside Malaysia as a result of Bodily Injury or Sickness, Chubb will pay the relevant Benefit amount specified.

Child Guard

Whilst on a Journey that is a Return Journey, if the Insured is Confined in a Hospital outside or within Malaysia, Chubb will indemnify Insured for reasonable hotel accommodation and travel (economy air travel) expenses necessarily incurred for one (1) relative or friend to accompany Insured's Dependent Child(ren) and/or Infant(s) back to the place where the Return Journey commenced in Malaysia.

Compassionate Allowance

Whilst on a Journey that is a Return Journey, if the Insured sustains Bodily Injury or Sickness which results in Confinement of more than five (5) Days in a Hospital, Chubb will indemnify Insured for the hotel accommodation and travel (economy return air travel) expenses necessarily incurred for one (1) relative or friend to visit and stay with Insured during Insured's Confinement as advised by a Physician.

Loss Or Damage Of Luggage And Personal Effects

Whilst on a Journey, if the Insured sustains loss of or damage to Insured's Personal Property and Baggage, Chubb will indemnify Insured in respect of such loss.

Loss Of Travel Documents

Whilst on a Journey, if the Insured sustains loss of Travel Documents due to theft, Chubb will indemnify Insured in respect of such loss.

Loss Of Credit Card

Whilst on a Journey that is a Return Journey, Chubb will reimburse the Insured up to the Benefit Amount for the financial loss of credit, charge or bankers card being lost or stolen and subsequently used fraudulently.

Checked-In Luggage Delay

Whilst on a Journey, if the Insured's baggage that is checked in is not delivered within five (5) hours of Insured's arrival at the scheduled Destination, Chubb will pay the relevant Benefit amount specified in the Certificate of Insurance.

Travel Delay

Whilst on a Journey, if the departure of the Scheduled Flight in which Insured has arranged to travel is delayed for at least five (5) consecutive hours at any single location from the time specified in the Malindo Travel Itinerary due to Strikes or industrial action, adverse weather conditions or mechanical breakdown/derangement of the Scheduled Flight or due to the grounding of the Scheduled Flight as a result of mechanical or structure defect, Chubb will pay the relevant Benefit amount specified in the Certificate of Insurance.

Common Carrier Delay

Whilst on a Journey that is a Return Journey, if the departure of the Common Carrier in which Insured has arranged to travel is delayed, cancelled or rescheduled for at least five (5) consecutive hours at any single location from the time specified in the itinerary due to Strikes or industrial action by the employees of the Common Carrier, Chubb will pay the relevant Benefit amount specified in the Certificate of Insurance.

Travel Misconnection

Whilst on a Journey, if the confirmed onward connecting Scheduled Flight is missed at the transfer point due to late arrival of the incoming confirmed connecting Scheduled Flight and no alternative onward transportation is made available within five (5) hours of the actual arrival time of the incoming Scheduled Flight, Chubb will pay the relevant Benefit amount specified in the Certificate of Insurance.

Hijack Inconvenience

Whilst on a Journey, if the Insured is a victim of a Hijack of the Scheduled Flight on which Insured is travelling, Chubb will pay for every full five (5) hours that the Hijack continues up to a maximum of the relevant Benefit amount specified in the Certificate of Insurance.

Flight Cancellation

If Insured is forced to cancel prior to the commencement of the Journey as a direct and necessary result of any Specified Cause, Chubb will indemnify Insured in respect of Cancellation Expenses incurred up to the relevant Benefit amount specified in the Certificate of Insurance.

Flight Curtailment

Whilst on a Journey that is a Return Journey, if Insured is forced to curtail any part of a Journey as the direct and necessary result of any Specified Cause, Chubb will indemnify Insured in respect of Curtailment Expenses incurred up to the relevant Benefit amount specified in the Certificate of Insurance.

Emergency Mobile Phone Charges

Whilst on a Journey that is a Return Journey, Chubb will reimburse the Insured up to the Benefit Amount for charges incurred for personal mobile phone used for the sole purpose of engaging the services of Chubb Assistance during a medical emergency for which a medical claim has been submitted under Medical Expenses.

Personal Liability

Whilst on a Journey that is a Return Journey, if Insured incurs legal liability to a third party, Chubb will indemnify Insured in respect of each occurrence or a series of occurrences giving rise to such liability arising directly or indirectly from one (1) source or original cause, up to the relevant Benefit amount specified in the Certificate of Insurance.
